Description

In medieval England all able-bodied men were supposed to keep up archery, in readiness for some national emergency. The uncultivated ground called 'Campingland' in Swaffham was earmarked the local place to practice. Today you may innocently wander there without such obligation yet other arrows are already in flight. An arrow crossing the picture's border represents something as yet unknown, entering the frame of someone's life. It's strike may bring love or war. Either way, their life is about to change.
This is an original relief print pulled from a rubber engraving. The sheet would fit straight into a standard 11 x 13 inch frame.
