For this piece I have talked with a number of people who are bipolar. They described the euphoria of the mania as well as the sheer despair of the downs. With "Fun Fair" I wanted to convey both sides of the condition - areas of yellows and reds to representing "the high", juxtaposed with looming, billowing areas of charcoal infused darkness.

Description
This work is part of a series exploring mental health issues. For this piece I have talked with a number of people who are bipolar. They described the euphoria of the mania as well as the sheer despair of the downs. With "Fun Fair" I wanted to convey both sides of the condition - areas of yellows and reds to representing "the high", juxtaposed with looming, billowing areas of charcoal infused darkness.
