2013-2015, Research Centre, George Eliot Hospital.

“Well being”, a sculptural figure in flight, was initially created for Warwickshire Artsweek '06 to hang from the new Outpatient's Department dome. The intention was to make the figure appear gradually increasing in strength. My use of medical materials, such as plastic airline tubing, help bring the work into the context of medical intervention and of the hospital as institution. In making the piece I sensed the role of the surgeon as I used threading techniques to create the muscles of the body.
