Ginny Staniford is willing to accept commissions
Sustainability is at the heart of my art practice. I rarely buy new materials; instead, I breathe new life into discarded clothes, home furnishings, fabric samples, and even bags for life. Each piece I create carries a history, with textures and imperfections that add to its story.
Heat is central to my technique. Using a heat gun, iron, and soldering iron, I manipulate fabrics to create distinctive textures, layered surfaces, and unexpected forms. My style is ever evolving, shaped by curiosity and the unexpected effects of each process on a myriad of different textiles.
I am a member of the Banbury Artists Cooperative, Church Lane Gallery, where I sell my textile artwork, as well as at our pop-ups throughout the area.
