Jackie Buckle

After many years away from the easel—raising a family and working full-time—I’ve returned to painting with renewed passion. Art gives me the perfect way to combine two of my greatest loves: animals and creativity.

I live in Surrey with my beautiful Finnish Lapphund, Lexi, and volunteer with the Blue Cross Pet Loss Support Service, which has deepened my understanding of the special bond we share with our companion animals.

I like to add colourful backgrounds to my paintings and try to chose backdrops that complement the character of the main subject in some way, whether that be cheeky, demure or something else!
