Michelle Parsons creates vibrant, expressive paintings inspired by the natural
world. Drawn to organic forms from lobsters and fish to birds, she explores
their shapes, textures and movement through bold colour and energetic
mark-making. By looking closely at these subjects, Michelle transforms them
into striking, almost abstract compositions filled with depth, contrast and life.
Working primarily on a large scale in oils, Michelle collaborates with interior
designers, restaurants and private collectors around the world. Alongside her
paintings, she also enjoys exploring monoprint, etching and lino print
techniques, bringing the same sense of energy and curiosity to each
process.
Michelle is a member of the Suffolk Art Society and Suffolk Open Studios,
opening her studio to visitors each June. She is also passionate about art
education, teaching at a local college, leading weekly life drawing sessions,
