Description
In this work, I have presents a horse in profile, rendered with a compelling balance of figuration and abstraction. The animal's form is immediately recognisable yet partially dissolved into vigorous strokes and angular fragments, allowing the viewer to experience the subject as both physical presence and painterly impression.
The muted, earthy ground serves as a quiet stage, against which the horse emerges with strength and dignity. The tack and saddle are treated with sharp geometric planes, accented by flashes of orange and blue, lending the composition a distinctly modern rhythm. The interplay of controlled line and expressive texture imbues the work with tension—between restraint and freedom, structure and dissolution.
The horse, long a symbol of endurance, partnership, and nobility, here becomes a vessel for reflection on memory and perception: not simply depicted, but evoked, refracted, and reimagined.
