Atlas Quarry, Walsall
Packs of bricks stand before the quarry awaiting collection. They will doggedly stand against the incessant damp of these islands, where all else out in weather will become slimy and turn green or black. In rich, warm colours, bricks still look new after decades. Whatever would Blighty be without them?
This is an original relief print pulled from engravings cut in rubber. The complete edition is 10 prints only. The sheet is 10½ x 15 inches (263x381mm) and the image is 6½ x 9½ inches (165x241mm).
