Description

In the safe Conservative seat of Corby sits the MP Tom Pursglove, an extreme Brexiteer. And in the referendum, people here voted 2 to 1 in favour of Brexit, a policy largely supported by a craving to drive out most immigrants. In lockdown today people depend for their lives upon jobs mostly peformed here by immigrants of mid and Eastern Europe. Sitting safely at home the electors of Corby thus encounter themselves and god. The iconic figure in the bottom left is based upon an image in the Serbian Church of Corby. A lorry behind makes some small delivery, requiring only one door opened. The background is a view in Crucible Road, the tangled images representing confused states of mind.

This is an original relief print pulled from an engraving cut in rubber. The edition comprises 7 prints only. Unframed £55, with oak frame £125 (please contact for framed print.)
