Description
The lake in the image is Lough Murree, also known as Linn-ealla, (which translates from the Irish to Swan Lake). The Flaggy Shore and the lake were the subjects of the poem Postscript, by Seamus Heaney. The painting is inspired by the magical and ever changing colours in the sky at dawn and the way these colours are reflected in the water of the lake.
