Sunset in Southtown is inspired by the view from the rear roof window of my home in Leamington Spa. I find it fascinating that in this scene, which shows just a small area of this lovely town which has emerged over three centuries,the most prominent and probably the oldest building we see is the stunning All Saints Church, and the latest feature and a very beautiful building also is the Sikh Temple, the white and gold dome of which is just visible against the skyline to the left side of the painting.
