Description
This painting was inspired by my love of the landscape of Scotland and the English Lake District. It doesn't aim to represent a particular place or view, but rather to capture the feeling of the changing light and eternal beauty of the valleys and mountains.
The initial stages of this painting were put down quickly and intuitively using sweeping brushstrokes and by scratching marks into the wet paint, which were later refined and re-worked more consciously. I have left the brush marks and scratches visible to add to the dynamic quality of the painting.
It's painted using professional artist quality acrylics on stretched canvas and has a layer of varnish for protection: the sides are painted white. It has picture hooks and cord on the back so is ready to hang. The painting is initialled in the lower right front and is labelled/ signed in full on the reverse.
It will be carefully packaged and sent tracked with a reputable carrier: a signed Certificate of Authenticity will be included.
