Description
The Purveyor of Magic is colourful springtime inspired painting of a kingfisher flying over a riverbank of wild flowers. It is 36x36x1.5 inches. The kingfisher is a magical bird and I like the idea of her spreading magic and bringing the landscape and colours to even brighter life as she flies over it. This is why different colour glazes and veils extend from her wings and makes the painting semi-abstract and a little ethereal in nature. The predominant colours are greens but you can see hints of bluebell blues, pink, purple, orange and gold. This painting was inspired after a walk I took near Mayfield (Sussex) in April when the bluebells and other wildflowers were lining the edge of the waterways and fields.
