Description
The collaged images are based on leaves from the fig tree in my garden. The spiral form represents the end of season leaves falling to the ground. They are woven with a handmade Indian paper that suggests the earth to which they will return. The weaving process gives equal visual recognition and value to the two stages of the trees life, the dropping and recycling of the lreaves equally important in the natural cycle.
