Peter Long is willing to accept commissions

I learned the principles of printing during years in college, commercial and book printing. I applied my knowledge to fine art printmaking. Over the course of 20 years I made prints using a wide variety of techniques with my friend the late Rigby Graham.

Fifteen years ago I had an etching press built for me and developed my own technique of printing from sheet rubber. My prints represent real people and places while my aim is to leave enough room for the viewer to attach their own memory or imagining. My images are cut out with a knife and in my view the technique of cutting is the most appropriate way to represent our time in history because we all now live in a cut-out world.
